The size of the school (only 3 classrooms per grade), the large number of volunteers and the open friendly atmosphere creates a feeling of community. "The teachers work with the parents to create a positive team from both the student AND the parents. They help create a positive attitude toward learning and are available to discuss questions or concerns. The curriculum is taken very seriously, which promotes a high level of achievement for the students. Moral Focus is taught each week, practiced and adhered to. Administration, namely the principal, is also open to listening about concerns, new ideas, or just answering questions. Another huge asset is the front office staff. They are extremely informed about each child, teacher schedules, and school programs and policies."

"One of the greatest concerns we have as parents is the safety of our children. At Knapp, we recently installed a new electronic sign-in system that allows the staff to track visitors that enter our school, whether volunteering to help in a class or to attend an assembly. We also have between one and four dads participating daily in a new program called WATCH D.O.G.S., it stand for Dads of Great Students. This program gets dads more involved with school and the safety of our students. It is comforting to know that our kids are in a safe environment."
